On the hunt for thousands of salmon that escaped Icelandic fish farm

The 13 salmon are laid out on a bench, useless, bagged up and able to be despatched to the authorities. They aren’t a reasonably sight. They had been caught and killed by specialist divers within the Langadalsá river within the distant and rugged Westfjords of Iceland.

Most have gaping wounds from spear weapons, and all present indicators of getting been eaten alive by parasites. One has a lacking eye socket, gnawed away by a salmon louse.
