Food waste in US landfills produces emissions equal to 12 million cars

Wasted meals rotting in landfills is a big and rising supply of planet-warming methane emissions within the US, based on a report that quantifies these emissions for the primary time. Chopping meals waste is one of the simplest ways to scale back these emissions.
