Sea cucumbers surprise scientists with spectacular light show

A deep-diving submersible has found 10 sea cucumber species emitting mild for the primary time of their pure habitat.

The observations have been “completely surprising, like a spectacular film,” says Manabu Bessho-Uehara at Nagoya College in Japan. Within the management room on the analysis ship, “no one might say something besides ‘wow’.”
